In the opening clip sound will help to make the atmosphere more tense however it needed to be copyright free. We searched into free sounds that were un signed and found this site- http://www.freesound.org.
On that site we looked into scary/tense options and found the music clip we want to use. Many were un suitable but we think the one we found fits the conventions we need, to matchthe stereotype of a tense & scary film. Sudden,starts quiet, builds up and gets louder. When we previously took a survey, the outcome was people prefered the atmosphere to build up.

Our film genre is for a mixed target audience therefore our genre will appeal to both genders.

We found in many film openings not alot was shown, so a simple phone is all that we need.

Names.

Here is some ideas for what the name of our 2 minute opening could be called.
Originally we wanted to call it 'The Curse'... Instead we chose 'The Trap'.

Script-

Here is a script of what is going to be said during our 2 minute film opening. We havent write specific names as we dont know what character would suit best, its important to plan this ahead so we know what works and what doesn't.

Target Audience!

When making this 2 minute film opening we had to consider all aspects this included what our target audience was. We decided it was ages of 15 and over, but in particular 17,18. Stereotypically we would of expected girls to choose romantic and boys to choose action. However when we made a poll, both boys and girls chose ' psychological thrillers and horrors' as there preferred favourite, which fits into the category our film opening is. Here is a photo of our target audience. It's a mixture of genders which means this genre appears to a wider range of audiences.
